Film Preview: The Spiderwick Chronicles

"The Spiderwick Chronicles" is yet another fantasy tale brought to the silver screen.  The screenplay has been adapted from the popular books by Holly Black.  The film will follow twin brothers, Jared and Simon Grace (played by Freddie Highmore) who, along with their sister Mallory (Sarah Bolger), get pulled into an alternate world full of fairies and other mystical creatures after they move into the run-down Spiderwick Estate with their mother.

Freddie Highmore is becoming known for his work in fantasy-based films such as "Finding Neverland" (2004), "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005) and "The Golden Compass" (2007).
