Film Preview: Prince Caspian

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian will be released by Disney Studios on May 16, 2008. The highly anticipated follow-up to The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) is already getting a lot of attention. I have to be honest – I wasn’t a fan of the first movie and felt that the book was really watered down to please audiences. Also, it’s rich in Christian allegory yet last year’s The Golden Compass was targeted as being anti-Christian.

Still, I will have to give Prince Caspian a chance because I am such a fan of the books and the television adaptations from my childhood.

In this installment, the four Pevensie siblings return to Narnia, where they are enlisted to once again help ward off an evil king and restore the rightful heir to the land’s throne, Prince Caspian.
