“Last Chance Harvey” has been playing the film festival circuit the past few months. It opens in limited release Dec. 25, 2008, and wide release on Jan. 16, 2009.

The offbeat comedy stars Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson as an unlikely pair looking for new beginnings. Hoffman is a down-on-his-luck jingle writer who flies to London to attend his daughter’s wedding, only to learn that she’d prefer her stepdad (James Brolin) to walk her down the aisle.
