"Death Race": About the Cars – VIDEO

They sure are pushing Death Race, in theaters Aug, 22, 2008. There’s a gazillion clips online. Here’s one about the cars used in the movie. Love those Mad Max cars and action. The clip seemed a little glitchy earlier, so we’ll see how it plays.

Directed and written by Paul Anderson, it follows the story of ex-con Jensen Ames (Jason Statham), forced by the warden of a notorious prison (Joan Allen) to compete in our post-industrial world’s most popular sport: a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory. Nice. Haven’t we seen this? I think it was called Death Race 2000, released in 1975.
