Corddry Lands ‘Project A’

Rob Corddry – who was pretty darn funny in What Happens in Vegas – has landed his first starring role with Project A, a New Line action comedy produced by Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld via their Red Hour shingle.

Corddry (pictured) will play a guy trained by the U.S. government as a Cold War experiment to become the world’s biggest jerk.

The script is written by Etan Cohen, a co-writer on Stiller’s upcoming Tropic Thunder. Love the collaborations between all these funny guys.

“Ben and Stuart gave it to me to read years ago, and it’s always been the first thing I ask my agents and managers about,” Corddry told The Hollywood Reporter. “They’ve always said, ‘Go open a movie first!’”

You can also see Corddry in Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay. He says he’s happy to reach the stage of his career where he’s being considered for larger roles.
