Clint Eastwood’s Mandela lands son Scott
March 18, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Some celebrity parents try to steer their kids away from the acting business, but it’s always fun to see the ones who go for it – and do well.
Clint Eastwood has quite the brood — seven kids and all of them in the biz one way or another. His daughter Kimber Eastwood (44) is a makeup artist; son Kyle Eastwood (40) is a musician and composer; daughter Alison Eastwood (36) is an actress and director; daughter Kathryn Eastwood (21) was Miss Golden Globe in 2005; Francesca Fisher-Eastwood (15) was in "True Crime"; even 12-year-old Morgan Eastwood was in "Changeling" and "Million Dollar Baby."
Clint’s 22-year-old son Scott Eastwood (pictured – he looks like Clint, too!) has been in many of his dad’s movies, including "Gran Torino" and "Flags of Our Fathers" – though under the name of Scott Reeves. His mom is flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves.
Now Scott’s nabbed a role in the untitled Nelson Mandela drama being directed by Clint for Warner Bros. and Spyglass Entertainment.
He’s joining a great cast, too, including Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. It’s the true story of how the South African president Mandela worked with the captain of the national rugby team, Francois Pienaar, to help unite the country after apartheid.
Clint Eastwood continues to make thoughtful, interesting movies, and I always look forward to seeing them.
