Christopher Nolan Signs for "Batman 3"

Rumors have been flying around the Internet ever since The Dark Knight hit theaters earlier this year. But now it looks like Chris Nolan may indeed be signed to direct a sequel to the smash hit.

This morning’s Production Weekly included a listing of Batman 3, with Nolan as the official director, and Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman in the cast.

It also confirms other rumors that have been swirling around, listing “Batman 3″ as going into pre-production in February 2009.

Doesn’t it seem odd, though, that this info would come out in Production Weekly before Warner Bros. makes the big announcement themselves? I mean, “Batman 3″ is a pretty big deal!
