Miley Cyrus and Kim Cattrall shooting a Sex and the City scene

Miley Cyrus and Kim Cattrall were recently spotted shooting a scene for “Sex and the City 2” (in theaters May 28, 2010), where they turn up for a movie premiere in the same outfit!

The premiere is for a film called “Heart of the Desert,” which appears to star Samantha’s boyfriend, Smith (Jason Lewis). “Sex and the City” designer Patricia Field said the dresses were by Matthew Williamson.

I can’t say I’m all that thrilled about the dresses – they look a little slutty – but I’m loving those boots! And Miley is tall, isn’t she? All grown up…

People Magazine: New Moon Collector’s Edition hits newstands today

Hey, “New Moon” fans! A special collector’s edition of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” from People Magazine is on newstands from Oct. 16 through Nov. 30, 2009.

In addition to exclusive on-set photos, interviews, and previews of the second installment of the “Twilight” series, the special edition also includes an exclusive shot of “Eclipse,” the third chapter (pictured, right).

“Twilight” earned nearly $200 million last year, and “New Moon” will continue the story of vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), and werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

‘Twilight’ is about first love; ‘New Moon’ is about heartbreak,” says director Chris Weitz. “That requires the actors to go to some very dark places.”

For Taylor Lautner, “New Moon” represents a big responsibility. “I get nervous trying to represent Team Jacob in the right way. This guy is some pretty good competition,” he says, referring to Pattinson’s Edward. “The fans would love anybody who played Jacob. I’m just lucky to be the one who got the chance.”

The special collector’s edition also delves into the chemistry between Kristen and Robert in both their professional and personal lives. It’s no secret that the couple has been letting the sparks fly both on and off-screen.

Says Pattinson, “When I read ‘Twilight,’ and there are these moony descriptions of Edward as a godlike figure, I thought there was no way I could play him. But when I got in the room with Kristen, there was a certain chemistry. She’s basically the reason I did the movie.”

Catherine Hardwicke, director of “Twilight,” recalls one scene when things got a little steamy and Pattinson ended up falling off the bed. And co-star Ashley Green, who plays Alice Cullen, says their off-screen romance is the real deal. “They’re genuine, and they’re very talented. It’s like a secret potion that you can’t really pinpoint, but they both have it.”

The cast is already filming “Eclipse,” with the fourth installment, “Breaking Dawn,” on tap for the near future. “We’re all crossing our fingers, and we all want to finish the series,” says Kellen Lutz, who plays vampire Emmett Cullen. “And we want Stephenie Meyer to write more books if she could!”

Gorgeous picture of Russell Crowe filming Robin Hood

Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood” is due in theaters May 14, 2010. Russell Crowe is already hard at work on “The Next Three Days” with Elizabeth Banks, but here’s a gorgeous little photo to get you psyched for “Robin Hood.”

The movie also stars Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian (of course, she’ll be perfect, even though at one time I thought they might be too old for the characters), Kevin Durand as Little John, William Hurt as William Marshall, and Matthew Macfadyen as the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Jason Lewis on the Sex and the City set

Filming continues on the “Sex and the City” sequel, and here’s a photo of Jason Lewis, who plays Jerry “Smith” Jerrod.

Law Abiding Citizen trailer – Gerard Butler goes dark

What would you do if everything was taken away in one brutal act of violence? That’s the question posed in "Law Abiding Citizen," a movie starring Gerard Butler as Clyde Shelton, an upstanding family man whose wife and daughter are brutally murdered during a home invasion.

When the killers are caught, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), a hotshot young Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Over his objections, Nick is forced by his boss to offer one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice.

Fast forward ten years. The man who got away with murder is found dead and Clyde Shelton admits that he killed him. He also issues a warning to Nick: Fix the flawed justice system or key players in the trial will die. And that’s exactly what starts happening, with the jailed Shelton orchestrating a string of assassinations that can be neither predicted nor prevented. Philadelphia is gripped with fear as Shelton’s high-profile targets are slain one after another and the authorities are powerless to halt the murders.

It’s a different sort of role for Gerard Butler, whose been in a few romantic comedies lately – including “The Ugly Truth” and the upcoming “The Bounty” — and of course, he’ll always be known as King Leonidas in “300.” It’ll be interesting to see him as more of a diabolical killer. “Law Abiding Citizen” hits theaters Oct. 16, 2009, and it’s rated R for strong bloody brutal violence and torture, a scene of rape, and pervasive language. How one guy got drunk and ended up in a Seth Rogen movie

I regularly troll Digg for fun movie stuff, and sometimes I get lucky, as I did today with this story. Apparently, a guy named Paz got drunk, acted like an idiot, and ended up in a Seth Rogen movie. Those are his words, not mine.

Personally, I think he’s a genius! The movie turned out to “The Green Hornet,” which hits theaters Dec. 22, 2010. Here’s Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz filming a scene:

And here’s an excerpt from Paz’s experience:

Seth has been observing my slowly developing epiphany, chuckling. I don’t blame him. I must look like a total dumbass.

“ROLL SOUND….AND… ACTION!!”

You’ve got to be kidding. That happened way too fast – I didn’t even have a chance to move.

Somehow, the little bald guy completely missed me. And I am now in a movie.

I quickly look down at my Blackberry and frantically begin checking non-existent e-mails. I am invisible. I am invisible.

A wide-lens Panavision camera swings down 10 feet in front of my head and a movie scene unfolds. I’m watching it all like its on TV…

Seth Rogen walks purposefully past me and the blondes chatter with exaggerated gestures as a stretch Hummer pulls up in the courtyard. A valet opens the door…

“…AND CUT!!”

The scene is over. Seth ambles back to his mark. I am frozen in time.

“Dude,” he says to me on his way back. “If they don’t catch you in post, you should totally sue.”

I am Jack’s speechless larynx.

I cock my head back as if to say, “Yes. I am a moron.”

If you see ‘Green Hornet’ next summer and happen to notice an out-of-place jackass in a blue blazer with a valet ticket, let me know.

Tom Cruise doing stunts for Wichita

Actor Tom Cruise is still doing his own stunts, and more power to him. He was spotted doing a few in Boston for his movie, “Wichita.” From the photos, you can see that he climbs to a standing position from the back seat of a fast-moving convertible. You can also see a driver and a dog in the passenger seat. Word has it that Cruise eventually ends up on the hood of Cameron Diaz’ car.

The plot sounds very mysterious. It’s an action-comedy that begins when a small-town woman (Diaz) has a chance encounter with a mysterious man (Cruise). But is he the man of her dreams? Or her nightmares? Allegiances, betrayals, adventure and secrets are all on tap for this movie, directed by James Mangold and scheduled for a July 2, 2010 release.

Emily Blunt shooting a scene for The Adjustment Bureau

Actress Emily Blunt (recently engaged to John Krasinski) was spotted shooting a night scene for “The Adjustment Bureau” on the chilly streets of New York City.

The film, which also stars Matt Damon, follows an affair between a politician and a ballerina who are kept apart by mysterious circumstances. Hmmm … sounds mysterious … and a fun sci-fi thriller, too.

It’s directed by George Nolfi based on a short story by Philip K. Dick. No release date, but I’m guessing sometime in 2010.

Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of Sex and the City 2

This is the best news I’ve heard all week! Filming on “Sex and the City 2” is in full swing, and Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted filming some scenes in New York City.

Production on the sequel recently began, and areas of midtown have been closed off with “Untitled Project” signs from Warner Bros. If you happen to be in that area, send me your photos!

Cinema Blend reported that filming will take place in all sorts of exotic locales, including five weeks in Morocco. Hmmm, rumor has it an adoption agency might be playing into that particular storyline.

Giles Marini, who played Samantha Jones’ hunky neighbor in “Sex and the City: The Movie,” will reportedly NOT be returning for the sequel. However, all the main players, including Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker, Chris Noth, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, are on board.

Directed by Michael Patrick King, the movie is scheduled for a May 28, 2010 release.
