Video of Adam Lambert singing Time For Miracles for the movie 2012

I’m really excited that Adam Lambert will be singing a song for the movie “2012.” It’s called “Time For Miracles,” and will be a beautiful addition to the film. I was a big fan of his when he was on “American Idol” and have been waiting to see what he does next. His version of “Mad World” is one of my all-time favorite songs.
“2012” opens in theaters Nov. 13, 2009, and looks like the disaster movie to end all disaster movies. Check out the trailers here and here, and a five-minute clip with John Cusack here. Here’s a little …read more

Jane’s Favorite Movie Tunes: Hugh Laurie, The Way You Look Tonight from Peter’s Friends

Time to resurrect Jane’s Favorite Movie Tunes with this lovely song from “Peter’s Friends,” a 1992 film about six former college friends who gather for a New Year’s Eve weekend reunion at a large English countryside manor. The film stars Hugh Laurie (loving him on “House” this season), Kenneth Branagh, Stephen Fry, Alphonsia Emmanuel, Emma Thompson, and Imelda Staunton. Have a listen …

Death Cab for Cutie signs for New Moon soundtrack

As we get closer to the Nov. 20 release of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” we’re getting more details about, well, the details of the movie. Bits and pieces about the soundtrack are coming out this week.
At the VMAs on Sunday, Death Cab for Cutie unveiled their contribution, "Meet Me on the Equinox." The full soundtrack will be announced tomorrow, but we’ve got a few details on the album, due out Oct. 20, 2009.
Music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas told the New York Times she’s confident that the “New Moon” soundtrack would include already rumored tracks from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, indie …read more

Tron Legacy trailer hits Comic-Con 2009 – Watch it here

The "Tron Legacy" trailer aired at Comic-Con this weekend. I LOVE the graphics! Very slick. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the sequel to the 1982 film was written by "Lost" writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

The 3D high-tech/digital adventure follows Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges, reprising his role from the first movie). While investigating the disappearance of his father, Sam finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiator-type games where his father’s been living for 25 years.
The movie also features Bruce Boxleitner, Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, …read more

G-Force – Watch the ‘Jump’ Music Video by Flo Rida

I’m such a sucker for Disney movies with cute talking animals. I hope "G-Force" is as cute as it looks. From producer Jerry Bruckheimer, it’s a 3-D comedy adventure about a covert government program that trains animals for espionage work.
Armed with the latest high-tech spy gear, these highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws! Sam Rockwell, Tracy Morgan, Penelope Cruz, and Nicolas Cage provide voices. The movie also stars Bill Nighy, Will Arnett, and Steve Buscemi, and hits theaters July 25, 2009.

Michael Jackson in Thriller

Michael Jackson in Thriller

Wow, it’s been a rough week in Hollywood, with the passing of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and now Michael Jackson. While he was known more for his music than anything else (well, and his eccentricities), I think we can all agree that "Thriller" is a great music video that really qualifies as a movie short. Here’s the short version of the smash-hit video (thanks to MTV!).

Let’s Get Hana Pestle’s "Need" Into New Moon!

Let’s Get Hana Pestle’s "Need" Into New Moon!

My pal Tiffany McFadden sent me this link, and passed the word along about a campaign to get Hana Pestle’s song "Need" into "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
All I can say is: Oh.My! I just listened to the song (about 5 times) on Hana’s MySpace site, and it is SO beautiful. It would be absolutely perfect for "New Moon" – especially the heartbreaking scene where Edward leaves Bella in the woods (check out the first "New Moon" trailer here).

Hana Pestle wrote "Need", one of her first compositions, in 2004 at the age of 15. It was produced/co-written (the bridge) …read more

Jonas Brothers in for "New Moon"?

var iamInit = function() {try{initIamServingHandler(234,338,602204,”http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/Resources/Css/css2.css”)}catch(ex){}}()
Yikes, say it ain’t so. The Jonas Brothers say they’d love to do music for "New Moon," the much-anticipated sequel to "Twilight."
Of course, that doesn’t mean they WILL do music, just that they’d like to. When asked by MTV about the possibility, the brothers said, "That would be really cool."
"[Twilight] was obviously a huge success," said Nick. "If they asked us to be a part of [New Moon], then that would be great."
Ok, is there anyone who DOESN’T want to be part of "New Moon"? I swear, everyone and their mother is looking to …read more
