Meryl Streep at the ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ premiere

I can’t say I’m all that crazy about Meryl Streep’s dress at the “Fantastic Mr. Fox” premiere in New York City. There’s sort of a whole lot going on there. Too much, really. But Meryl, as always, looks fantastic.

The animated movie opens Nov. 25, 2009, and stars George Clooney as the title character, a fox who’s dealing with three wealthy farmers who are none too happy about Mr. Fox feeding his family on their poultry.

The voice cast also includes Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe, Owen Wilson, and Jason Schwartzman. Watch the trailer here.

John Cusack, Thandie Newton, and Adam Lambert shine at the 2012 Premiere

It may have been a disaster on the screen, but the stars shone brightly at the premiere of “2012.”

Roland Emmerich’s tragi-film centers on a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world as we know it — seriously, check out the trailer. I also have a great 5-minute clip with John Cusack front and center.

Until the Nov. 13 release date, here are a few premiere pictures of Cusack, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson, Danny Glover, Gilmore Girls’ Lauren Graham, and Chin Han (read my “Dark Knight” interview with him).

Also present was Adam Lambert, who sang one of the movie’s tunes, “Time for Miracles.” Watch the video of that on Idol Stalker!

Kristen Bell at the Astro Boy premiere!

The premiere of “Astro Boy” took place at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, and Kristen Bell was on hand to pose with Astro Boy himself! (Hmmm … who IS that under there?!)

In theaters Oct. 23, 2009, the CG-animated film is set in futuristic Metro City, where Astro Boy (voiced by Freddie Highmore) is a young robot created by a brilliant scientist named Tenma (Nicolas Cage). Powered by positive “blue” energy, Astro Boy has super strength, x-ray vision, unbelievable speed, and the ability to fly.

It also features the voices of Kristen Bell, Bill Nighy, Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane, and Eugene Levy. Kristen’s outfit is adorable, but I have to say, I’m really in love with Astro Boy’s red boots.

Penn Badgley, Taylor Momsen at The Stepfather premiere

The “Gossip Girls” (and guys) came out for the premiere of “The Stepfather,” starring Penn Badgley as a guy who returns from from military school to find his mom (Sela Ward) happily living with her new boyfriend (Dylan Walsh). But Michael’s potential stepfather might not be all he’s cracked up to be.

The thriller hits theaters Oct 16, 2009, and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence, disturbing images, mature thematic material and brief sensuality. It also stars Amber Heard, Sherry Stringfield, Jon Tenney, and Paige Turco. It looks darn creepy!

Mariah Carey, Robert De Niro, Mary J. Blige at the Precious premiere in New York

The stars came out in full force – and such a diverse group they were – for the premiere of “Precious“ at the 2009 New York Film Festival on Oct. 3, 2009. I posted the trailer last spring, and can’t wait to see the film.

It tells the story of an overweight, illiterate teen (Gabourey Sidibe) in Harlem who’s pregnant with her second child. But when she’s invited to enroll in an alternative school, things might start turning around for her. Check out the photos below, and also the red carpet premiere at Cannes last spring.

Kristen Bell at the Couples Retreat red carpet premiere

“Couples Retreat” hits theaters this Friday, and it looks like loads of fun. Sharks, hot yoga instructors, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Bell, and a bunch of other stars all cavorting on a plush tropical island.

Corbin Bleu and Madison Pettis at the Free Style premiere

Two adorable stars – Corbin Bleu and Madison Pettis – were just two of the actors to grace the New York premiere of “Free Style” on Sept. 24, 2009.

Bleu stars as Cale Bryant, a young man who’s determined to win a coveted spot on the Grand National racing team without compromising his beliefs.

With the support of his loving mother (Penelope Ann Miller), precocious little sister (Madison Pettis), and new girlfriend (Sandra Echeverria), Cale proves against all odds that he has the heart, the willpower and the courage to never give up on his dream. Yeah, predictable, but sweet.

“Free Style” is rated PG for language, some sensuality, and thematic material, and opens in limited release in theaters on Oct. 9, 2009.

Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe at The Invention of Lying premiere

“The Invention of Lying” hits theaters Oct. 2, 2009, and the stars walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival.

It’s a comedy set in a world (clearly fictional!) where no one has ever lied. That is, until a writer seizes the opportunity to lie for personal gain. The movie stars Ricky Gervais (who also wrote, directed and produced), Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, and Rob Lowe. It’s rated PG-13 for language including some sexual material and a drug reference.

Check out the stars on the red carpet. They look like they’re having a lot of fun, don’t they? And Jennifer Garner is gorgeous, as always (and check out those shoes!).

Is Megan Fox a hooker? Nah, she just dresses like one

Ok, I love Megan Fox as much as the next person, but does her wardrobe seem to be getting more hooker-ish? Here she is signing autographs at the world premiere of “Jennifer’s Body” at the Toronto International Film Festival.

She’s really working it, isn’t she? Whatever “it” is. Do you think she needs to tone it down? Or are you in the “go for it” camp? I mean, if we’re talking hooker, she’d definitely be a high-class one, right?

Renee Zellweger at My One and Only premiere

“My One and Only” is a comedy set in the 1950s, in which the glamorous Anne Deveraux (Renee Zellweger) takes a drive down the Eastern Seaboard searching for a wealthy man to finance a new life for her and her sons. Pictured below is Zellweger with co-stars Logan Lerman and Mark Rendall.

The movie is actually based on the life of George Hamilton, one of Anne’s sons played by Lerman. Chris Noth and Kevin Bacon are also featured in the movie. Rated PG-13 for sexual content and language, it arrives in theaters in limited release on Aug. 21, 2009.
