On the Red Carpet With the Stars of ‘Valentine’s Day’

Ready for a sweet romantic movie? Me, too! I hope ‘Valentine’s Day’ delivers. It stars a whole bevy of actors, including Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Garner, Ashton Kutcher, George Lopez and Hector Elizondo (thus continuing his deal to land a role in every film directed by Garry Marshall).

The story follows several intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles as they make up and break up around the mystery that is Valentine’s Day. It’s rated PG-13 for some sexual material and brief partial nudity, and opens in theaters this Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. Here’s a little clip of a few of them on the red carpet.

John Krasinski talks Alec Baldwin’s chest, smoking pot

My crush on John Krasinski continues as he makes the rounds promoting “It’s Complicated,” the romantic comedy in which he stars with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin.

Access Hollywood caught up with the star at the movie’s premiere, and he talked about Baldwin’s chest, as well as what it’s like to smoke pot with Streep and Baldwin (just the thought of it sounds like a trip). He’s just so adorable!

“It’s Complicated” hits theaters Dec. 25, 2009.

Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx at the Law Abiding Citizen premiere

Actors Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx team up for “Law Abiding Citizen,” a movie about a guy who could be your neighbor (Butler) who takes justice into his own hands after his family’s killer goes free. His target is the district attorney (Foxx) who orchestrated the plea bargain.

The movie hits theaters Oct. 16, 2009, but the Hollywood premiere took place last night. Here’s a peek at the fun…

Kristen Bell, Malin Akerman at the Couples Retreat premiere

Jon Favreau says getting the massage in “Couples Retreat” was one of the braver things he’s done as an actor. Meanwhile, Malin Akerman says playing Vince Vaughn’s wife was like a dream come true (cue giddy school girl laughter)!

The Invention of Lying – Red Carpet premiere with Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner and Rob Lowe

“The Invention of Lying” takes place in a world where no one lies (hmmm, I’m not sure that would be such a good thing – those little white lies can soften the blow sometimes!).

Jennifer Garner says her character cannot tell a lie, which causes some problems when she gets hit on by the first guy in the world who CAN tell a lie, played by Ricky Gervais. She goes on to say that in real life, she’s a bad liar, “but a good exaggerater.”

The comedy also stars Jonah Hill, Louis C.K., Jeffrey Tambor, and Tina Fey. It’s rated PG-13 for language, including some sexual material and a drug reference, and opens in theaters Oct. 2, 2009. Check out ReelzChannel‘s video from the red carpet premiere, and click here for premiere pics.

Kate Beckinsale walks the red carpet for Whiteout premiere

“Whiteout” opens in theaters today, and it looks like good thriller fun. Kate Beckinsale stars as Carrie Stetko, a U.S. Marshal who’s tracking a killer in Antarctica, just as the station is about to shut down and the sun about to set for six months. I think we can see where this is headed.

It’s funny how those U.S. marshals and detectives and fighter pilots and cops, et al are always beautiful women, isn’t it? I wonder what the real women in those jobs think of that. Who knows, maybe they really ARE beautiful women.

Gabriel Macht, Tom Skerritt, Columbus Short and Alex O’Loughlin also star in this film, rated R for violence, grisly images, brief strong language, and some nudity. Here are Beckinsale and a few of the stars on the red carpet. After the jump, the trailer…

All About Steve is all about the red carpet premiere

You can tell that people have this abiding love for Sandra Bullock, and that she can take it as well as dish it out. She just seems like she’d be a lot of fun, whether you’re working on a film or having a beer with her. And yeah, she definitely seems like a beer drinker rather than a frou-frou alcoholic beverage drinker.

Here, Bradley Cooper, her co-star in the upcoming “All About Steve,” talks about how tyrannical she is to work with, while Sandra explains that it’s impossible to explain the movie in 10 seconds. Makes sense to me. Go see the movie instead. It looks like good fun.

Liam Neeson hits red carpet for Five Minutes of Heaven

It can’t be easy getting back into the public eye after losing someone. But actor Liam Neeson made his first public appearance since the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson. He hit the red carpet for the premiere of his new film, "Five Minutes of Heaven," in which he co-stars with James Nesbitt and Anamaria Marinca.

Directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, it tells the story of a meeting between former UVF (Ulster Volunteer Force, a loyalist paramilitary group in Northern Ireland) Alistair Little (Neeson) and Joe Griffen (Nesbitt). The meeting takes place 25 years after Little killed Griffen’s brother.

The movie opens in theaters August 21, 2009. It sounds intense, and has already scored two wins from the Sundance Film Festival, for screenwriting and directing.
