Brett Ratner in for "Conan"!
November 7, 2008 by Jane Boursaw
Brett Ratner confirmed today that he’s in final negotiations to helm “Conan,” a 21st century take on the famous barbarian. They’re aiming for a 2010 release date.
Hmmm, after Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legendary take on the character, I wonder who they’ll get for the remake. I can’t think of anyone right off the bat, because Arnold is so associated with the role.
According to Avi Lerner of Millennium Films, which is producing, the story begins on the battlefield where Conan is born and sets the stage for what will be the first of multiple films.
Ratner was weighing his options between “Conan” and “Beverly Hills Cop IV,” and decided on Conan.
Who would you like to see as the new Conan?
