I’m so happy Vin Diesel is returning to his action star roots. Sure, I liked The Pacifier as a cute kids’ flick, but nobody kicks it like Diesel. In Babylon, A.D., he plays a veteran-turned-mercenary who takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she’s the host to an organism a cult wants to harvest to produce a genetically modified Messiah. Also stars Michelle Yeoh and Gerard Depardieu. In theaters Aug. 29, 2008.
