Adrien Brody in for "The Courier"

Adrien Brody has signed to play the lead in “The Courier,” an action tale directed by Russell Mulcahy for Arclight Films.
Brody has had such an interesting film career, everything from “King Kong” to “The Darjeeling Limited” to his current films, “Cadillac Records” and “The Brothers Bloom.”
He hasn’t really taken the “commercial” road to success, but it’s found him nonetheless. And he doesn’t really look like a movie star either, for that matter, but that makes him all the more appealing to me.
“The Courier” should be interesting, because it’s written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, who contributed to “Wanted” and “3:10 to Yuma” (one of my favorite movies of 2007). The story centers on a daredevil courier trying to deliver a briefcase to an underworld figure who can’t be found. Just the sort of thing Brody can sink his acting chops into.
