“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” hasn’t been buzzed about too much in terms of awards, but that doesn’t mean the cast and crew will be absent from the Golden Globes, Oscars and other upcoming awards festivities.

Here’s a clip from ReelzChannel in which Anna Kendrick talks about her roles in “New Moon” and “Up in the Air.” Kendrick has been nominated for a Golden Globe for best supporting actress in “Up in the Air.”

Anna Kendrick: Who’s sexier? George Clooney or Robert Pattinson

Anna Kendrick has it rough, doesn’t she? What a nightmare it’s been for her, starring with both Robert Pattinson and George Clooney in the same year. Man, I feel for her.

The adorable actress appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and set the record straight on her co-stars from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and “Up in the Air.” I’d have to go with Clooney.

The poster for Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me’ – tragic or romantic?

remember_me_robert_pattinson_posterRobert Pattinson’s upcoming romantic drama, "Remember Me," probably won’t be seen by his legions of tween fans, as the story seems a bit darker than the "Twilight" franchise. But that’s ok, because he needs to move beyond those types of roles eventually. This seems to have more of an adult theme.

Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler has felt lost and alone until he met and connected with Ally (Emilie de Ravin). But as he begins to fall for her, secrets come out that threaten their relationship. Hmmm, sounds mysterious.

Directed by Allen Coulter, the cast also includes two of my favorite actors – Chris Cooper and Lena Olin. It’s set for a March 12, 2010 release date (originally Feb. 12).

What do you think of the poster? It looks more romantic than tragic, as the story implies. Check out some on-set pics, and watch the trailer below.

Taylor Lautner headed for ‘Cancun’

Everyone’s favorite werewolf Taylor Lautner has another film with Summit Entertainment coming up. It will be interesting to see him in something other than the “Twilight” franchise. I’m sure he’s up to the task, though, and all of those stars have to establish or re-establish themselves in other roles.

taylor_lautner_upiphotos975135-New-Moon“Cancun” follows an out-of-place college kid who travels with a girl to Cancun on break. While there, the girl and her friends are taken hostage by a drug cartel, and he’s forced to save them.

The film will make the most of Lautner’s martial arts skills, which he displayed on “Saturday Night Live” last weekend.

“Cancun” is also the first project for the new production company he shares with his dad, Dan Lautner.

Summit acquires Polanski’s ‘The Ghost Writer’

roman_polanski_49078EJ_POLANSKI_R_B_GR_02 Roman Polanski may be under house arrest at his chalet in Switzerland, but that hasn’t stopped the filmmaker’s career from moving forward. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the “Twilight” series, has acquired the North American rights to Roman Polanki’s latest film “The Ghost Writer.”

Polanski, who finished the film while under house arrest, was arrested in Zurich in September on an international fugitive warrant for his sex crimes against 13-year old Samantha Geimer back in 1977. Who says justice isn’t served in the long run?

His lawyers are trying to get a California appeals panel to toss out the case due to misconduct from the district attorney and the original judge when the case was originally tried.

Summit International has sold the international rights to the thriller and plans to release it during the first half of 2010.

The film follows a ghostwriter hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister. In the process, he uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy. It stars Pierce Brosnan, Ewan McGregor, Kim Cattrall, Timothy Hutton, James Belushi, and Eli Wallach.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it sounds like a great movie. But I’m not at all interested in contributing to Polanski’s welfare by promoting the movie. Any thoughts on this? Do you have strong feelings one way or the other?

‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Charlie Hunnam pens ‘Vlad’

Charlie Hunnam is way more than his scrappy biker character of Jax Teller on FX’s “Sons of Anarchy.” He’s written a screenplay on Vlad the Impaler, a 15th century badass whose penchant for brutality and night-fighting struck fear in the heart of the Ottoman Empire and gave his outnumbered forces an advantage on their home battlefield. He was also the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”

Charlie HunnamHunnam’s screenplay for “Vlad” will be produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B and Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the “Twilight” series. But Hunnam says there will be no vampires in this project.

The actor became fascinated with Vlad a national hero of Romania, when he spent five months traveling the country during downtime filming 2003’s “Cold Mountain.” Anthony Mandler is in line to helm the film.

When Entertainment Weekly asked Hunnam if he was going for a “300” vibe with the script, he replied, “My hope when writing it was for the end result to be more ‘Braveheart’ than ‘300,’ and I think that as it’s evolved, we’ve got a pretty good mixture of both. I labor a little bit more over the history than ‘300’ did. I was really interested in the reality of how this man turned into the myth, and because of some of his behaviors, it’s actually very easy to weave that mythology in, in a true way. As a writer, you have your idea of what it’s going to be, and now I have to release it. It’s Mandler’s film. But I have a lot of faith in him, and I like him tremendously as a human being, so I feel in safe hands turning my baby over to him.”

The Twilight Saga: New Moon – Favorite Quotes

Got a favorite quote from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”? There were plenty of great lines in the movie, either funny, dramatic, romantic or sometimes all of the above.

Some of the best are between Jacob and Bella, which I guess isn’t that surprising, since much of the movie was centered on them.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes. Feel free to add yours in the comments below, and read my full story on Moviefone.

Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) (to Bella): "You’re my only reason to stay … alive. If that’s what I am."

Edward: "The Volturi are the closest thing my world has to royalty … they enforce the law."
Bella: "Vampires have laws?"

Bella: "The absence of him is everywhere I look. It’s like a huge hole has been punched through my chest."

Bella: "You’re sort of beautiful."
Jacob : "How hard did you hit your head?"

Embry Call (Kiowa Gordon): "Well, the wolf’s out of the bag now."

Jane (Dakota Fanning) (before attempting to inflict pain on Bella): "This may hurt just a little."

New_Moon_Cullens_Artwork FX is nabbing rights to some great movies this year. The network just acquired the TV rights to all four “Twilight” movies in a package deal that also includes Oscar hopeful “The Hurt Locker,” Nic Cage’s “Knowing,” and the action thrill-ride “Push."

FX will start running last year’s "Twilight," the first movie in the franchise, beginning in late 2011. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will be available in late 2012. “Eclipse,” which is slated for a June 30 theatrical release, will premiere on FX in early 2013.

Summit has yet to greenlight production on "Breaking Dawn," based on the fourth book in the series, but is there any doubt that will happen?

Other movies to air on FX include "2012," "Star Trek," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," "Monsters vs. Aliens," "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," "The Proposal" and "Zombieland."

Taylor Lautner’s Sexy Cover Shoot for Men’s Health Magazine

It’s always fun to see what goes on behind the scenes of a photo shoot. Here’s the scoop on the “Men’s Health” cover shoot of Taylor Lautner, a.k.a. Jacob Black the werewolf in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” It’s funny to see all the little things they put him through to get those shots – they literally have him jumping through hoops.

Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner on Jimmy Kimmel Live

“New Moon” fever continues, especially now that the movie is finally in theaters across the country.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner showed up on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last week to talk vampires, werewolves, and all that fan furor. Of course, the audience went as wild as every other audience who sees this trio anywhere. They really are handsome people, aren’t they?
